Vicki’s Fine at 69!

As part of our Million Dance Reasons series, we’d like to feature Vicki, a shining example of how dance can enrich and transform life at any age.

Meet Victoria Albert, or Vicki as her friends call her. At 69 years young, Vicki is living proof that age is just a number. A retired teacher from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, she fills her days with rhythm and movement, embracing life with her motto of the year: “I’m Fine at 69!"

Vicki Loves to Dance and Is Fine at 69!

Vicki’s passion for dance began when she was just a little girl, inspired by her mother and older brother, who were both incredible dancers. “I grew up watching them move with such grace and joy,” she recalls. “It sparked something in me, and I knew I had to dance too.” And dance she did.

Dance: More Than Just Exercise

From those early days to now, Vicki hasn’t stopped moving. She currently attends Jazz, Hip Hop, and Dance Cardio classes four nights a week. Besides keeping active, for Vicki, dancing has always been more than exercise—it’s a way of life.

“Dancing keeps me in fairly good shape, but more importantly, it makes me feel happy,” she shares with a warm smile. “Life can throw some tough moments, but dance always carries me through. It’s my escape, my therapy, my joy.”

Dance for Freedom, Joy, and Health

Vicki finds a deep sense of freedom when she dances. Her advice to anyone looking to stay healthy and joyful? "I highly recommend dancing as a way to keep in shape, experience joy, and feel free. It’s never too late to start!"

Inspiring Movement at Any Age

With her vibrant spirit and infectious energy, Vicki continues to inspire others to move, proving that you can dance through life’s highs and lows—at any age.
