Zoe's Journey through Dance

From Early Beginnings to a World of Styles

Zoe’s dance path expanded beyond ballet and tap as she grew older. In high school, she discovered jazz, a style that resonated deeply with her love for fluid, expressive movement. College took her even further, where she minored in dance and explored the creative world of modern and Afro-Caribbean dance. Zoe says, "I’ve always been open to all dance styles. I can’t think of any style I haven’t tried." This adventurous spirit has kept her curious and engaged, always seeking new ways to express herself.

Inspired by Music and Choreography

Like many dancers of her generation, Zoe was heavily influenced by iconic music videos. Growing up, she would watch the mesmerizing performances of artists like Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson, paying special attention to their choreography. “I loved watching music videos, and I would try to copy their moves. It was a big part of my childhood,” she recalls. This early exposure to the artistry of dance not only fueled her passion but also planted the seeds for a lifelong love affair with movement.

The Power of Dance

For Zoe, dance has been more than just a hobby—it’s been transformative. “It’s sharpened my creativity and helped to increase my focus,” she shares. Beyond the physical benefits, dance has provided her with an outlet to release emotions, clear her mind, and let go of life’s daily stresses. It’s a way for her to feel free, to reconnect with her true self.
